| Overview: | His lab is mainly focussed on designing biologicals using stem cell-based and cell-free therapies for ocular, and neurodegenerative disorders. His lab will be actively involved in validation/manufacturing and toxicity screening of medical devices. His lab uses tools like iPSC-based disease modelling, adult human stem cells, animal models, and organoid technology to uncover novel treatments and designing implantable platforms for delivery of biologicals like exosomes. Dr. Kumar was a former postdoctoral scholar at the Department of Ophthalmology, School of Medicine, Stanford University. He is the recipient of "Stanford's SPARK translational grant", “Weigand fellowship in Regenerative medicine” and “Young innovator award in Medicine”. |
